29 Apr Unmanned Car Spotted At Bedok Reservoir Park.
The public might have noticed a white automated miniature robot car on the pedestrian paths of Bedok Reservoir Park to remind visitors to adhere to safe distancing rules.
The robot car named O-R3 had been deployed as a safe distancing ambassador by national water agency ‘PUB’ since 23rd April 2020. ‘PUB’ says that it is not using the device with 360 degree camera,sensors and the ability to record video footage to enforce safe distancing rules by catching errant members of public.
It is originally use to support surveillance effort at plants and reservoirs of ‘PUB.’ The robot is now there to remind the visitors to refrain from gathering or loitering at Bedok Reservoir Park and to adhere to safe distancing measures by broadcasting messages in four languages.
